Long before we became incorporated in 1991, we cut our teeth in geological drafting and offset printing. Since then, producing custom cartography, mostly in the recreational and historical fields, for a variety of clients was (and actually still is) our main business. However, after a visit to Shiloh National Military Park and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park in the early ‘90’s, we have become dedicated to producing
the best Civil War Park maps available to the public. We published our first maps in 1995, and we plan on continually producing more maps until “the ground quits speaking to us”.
The response to our foray into producing this line of maps has been overwhelmingly positive. Civil War hobbyists and historians alike have agreed that these maps are a must-have when touring the parks. Ed Bearss, former Chief Historian of the National Park Service, summed up our maps by saying, “Besides being works of art, they provide in a pleasing format invaluable data for all park visitors, be they casual or dedicated battlefield
stompers”.
Although we are very proud of our line of Battlefield America maps, we also remain committed to the custom mapping aspect of our business. We will continue to produce maps of quality and beauty combined with top-of-the-line service to all our clients in the manner they have come to expect from Trailhead Graphics, Inc..
